Hotel Ojala is a family owned business by American Fred, his Costa Rican wife, Yessenia and their daughter, Lily. Drake Bay is situated on the southwestern corner of the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.Fred is the hotel's front desk clerk, cook, boat captain and host, while Yessenia and Lily help out as hostesses and assist as well with entertaining the guests, cooking and cleaning. This area has always been a natural jewel, and for many years it was one of Costa Rica's best kept secrets thanks to the difficulties that getting to that area implied. Up until a few years ago, this area didn't have electricity or roadways, but now the basic services have arrived making it easier for people to visit this remote area for the ultimate wilderness fishing adventure in Costa Rica. Rooms are air-conditioned, the only such option in Drake Bay, and they have a cool outdoor jacuzzi too. You will often eat the fish caught that day and it doesn't get any fresher than that! The hotel's location is privileged: it is on a slope right on the street, and the only thing between the hotel and the shore is 200 meters of protected mangrove area. Amenities and Services
Ojala hotel Costa Rica is currently composed of one building and an extra cabin. The main building has three small, clean and simple rooms with a double and a single bed, real coil spring mattresses, tiled floors, air conditioning, a bathroom with hot water, ceiling fans and room safes.
